Fluval Cycle Biological Enhancer is a safe and live biological aquarium supplement that immediately inoculates aquarium water with its powerful set of beneficial bacteria from 5 different strains, eliminating toxic ammonia and nitrites, while creating a biologically balanced aquarium for healthy fish to thrive. Contains Bio Flocs for always-on safe water and can be used in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Fluval Cycle Biological Enhancer is highly recommended for new aquariums, as they do not contain the adequate concentration of beneficial bacteria needed to metabolize the waste produced by fish. Quickly establish safe and essential water conditions when setting up a new aquarium, so fish can be introduced immediately*.

Retail level comparisons should be made with caution. If the product has been exposed to extreme temperature conditions (e.g. freezing) this will drastically affect the product, as well as the age of the product, a cooler product means better performance. For this reason and because we want to make sure that Fluval Cycle is up to the task each time it is sold, we have optimized the shelf life to 2 years to have a durable and fresh product at the same time. Other bacteria allow storage for only 18 months or less.

These high biomass aquarium bacteria do not require refrigeration. Fluval Cycle has increased the biomass concentration by 500% compared to the previous formula (500mg per liter vs 100mg per liter) and introduces a new set of bacteria, significantly increasing the rate at which beneficial bacteria inoculate the aquarium and metabolize ammonia and nitrite. The new biomass works through a three-stage cleaning process to further enhance the nitrification process.

We have also revised the dosing instructions to 2.5ml in 3.8L on Day 1, 1ml in 3.8L on Day 2, 1ml in 3.8L on Day 3. This was done to ensure that even if many fish were added to new, sterile aquariums, ammonia or nitrite would likely not be present.

Fluval Cycle Bacteria has undergone rigorous laboratory testing as well as aquarium testing to ensure the consumer is getting an effective, high-quality product that comes with the Fluval brand. Laboratory testing has clearly shown that Cycle is capable of metabolizing up to 40mg/L of ammonia in approximately 24 hours. Cycle features a robust set of bacteria that are highly adaptable and fast-responding.
