ARCADIA HIGH PERFORMANCE REFLECTOR

Description

When a fluorescent tube is illuminated, it is emitting rays of light from all points around its circumference.

When the tube is placed over an aquarium, all the rays emitted from the top half of the tube are directed away from the water, and wasted.

By using a suitable reflector behind the tube, it is possible to obtain maximum efficiency from the tube, because this otherwise wasted light energy is directed back to where it is needed – into the aquarium.

All Arcadia reflectors are manufactured from corrosion resistant aluminium, and the mounting is such that they can be easily mounted to the aquarium cover by inserting the lamp clamps through the slots in the reflector.

The reflector can then be bent to direct the light.
The ALR range of reflectors is for use with all fluorescent tubes of diameter 26mm/1″ or 38mm/1.5″ (T8 or T12)

It consists of nine models, which are summarized in the following table.

We have recently produced the following range of reflectors, which have a much slimmer profile than those above, specifically for use with T5 fluorescent tubes.

T8 reflectors include plastic tube holding clips.

The T5 range of reflectors includes stainless steel tube holding clamps.
