Fluorescent lamps do not have the ability to faithfully reproduce sunlight, which is a light that covers all areas of the spectrum with a pronounced level. Most lamps can only cover a small part of the spectrum.

Arcadia has precisely identified which parts of the spectrum are necessary for each type of aquarium and has been producing a series of lamps with spectral distributions specially designed to meet the needs and optimize lighting in each mode.

The Arcadia Original Tropical Lamp was specifically designed to supply the red and blue spectrums of natural daylight, which are necessary for Photosynthesis. (Photosynthesis is, in short, the process of combining carbon dioxide with water through light, which produces carbohydrates, the basic food of all living organisms, and oxygen, as a byproduct.)

 
The spectrum created also has the effect of highlighting the brightness of fish such as neons, cardinals, tetras, platys and guppies, revealing and enhancing their attractive natural colors, making them shine even brighter.

This lamp also has a purple/pink highlight, which creates a very pleasant looking environment, with which many aquarists are already familiar.

The two spectral bands that optimize photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis have been enhanced in the Arcadia Original Tropical lamp. The effect of these bands is to actively promote the health and balanced growth of plants. Original Tropical also has the effect of highlighting the red and brown colors that exist in aquarium plants, such as the famous ludwigia.
