Description

With the automatic EHEIM Refill + you can be sure that the water in your aquarium is always at a healthy level.

Water is constantly evaporating in aquariums without a cover. This is a major problem and can be fatal for the aquarium inhabitants, as harmful substances (such as nitrates, among others) and metabolic products are concentrated in the water. Marine water tanks also have the additional risk of increased salinity (density).

EHEIM Refill + automatically refills the evaporated water. To do this, a sensor permanently measures the water level. Simply place the EHEIM Refill + outside on the glass panel of the aquarium – or, in the case of a saltwater aquarium, alternatively on the filter tank in the cupboard (sump). As soon as the water level drops, the refill pump starts.
A smart controller then monitors the refilling process and adapts the water quantity to the requirements and records the changes. In the event of significant changes, the refilling process is interrupted and nothing can happen.

Intelligent filling level control with safety stop

EHEIM Refill+ is an electronically controlled automatic refill for all freshwater and saltwater tanks (open top); It replenishes the evaporated water regularly and at the same time adjusts the refill quantity to the tank size and evaporation rate.

The automatic refill consists of a power supply, controller with LED display, sensor with LED display, refill pump as well as refill tube and drain elbow with mounting bracket and clamp.

Sensor
The sensor monitors the water level. It is glued externally to the glass panel of the aquarium – in the case of a seawater tank, alternatively to the filter tank in the cabinet (sump). As soon as the water level drops, the refill pump starts.

Controller
The intelligent electronics memorize the tank size (amount and duration of refilling) and, for example, seasonal evaporation (refill frequency). In case of significant deviations, the safety stop is released and this prevents overflow.

The refilling process is interrupted,
– if it takes twice as long as before – or
– if the time between refill intervals is significantly shorter or longer (less than half or twice as long).

Automatic refilling can be switched off with a button (e.g. for changing water or working in the aquarium).

Refilling pump

Energy-saving low-voltage pump (4.5 W), is placed in the refilling reservoir (tank, bucket, canister or other). Since it normally only comes into contact with ultrapure water or osmosis water, it is not necessary to clean it.
It is suggested to use ultrapure water or osmosis water for refilling because if you refill with tap water, the salt concentration and the level of unwanted substances increase (nitrate, phosphate, silicic acid, total hardness, carbonate hardness, etc.)
