Purina® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS Feline HA St/Ox Hypoallergenic™ Clinical Dry Cat Diet

Feline HA St/Ox Hypoallergenic™ is a complete hypoallergenic veterinary diet for the diagnosis and nutritional management of food allergies in adult cats and kittens. Some cats suffer from food allergies, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive upset. Feline HA St/Ox Hypoallergenic™ is formulated with proteins that have been broken down (hydrolyzed) into very small components that are unlikely to trigger an allergic response, and a purified carbohydrate source. Hydrolyzed diets such as this are known to be suitable for performing “elimination diet trials” when attempting to diagnose (or rule out) food allergy. When food allergy is suspected, it is recommended to feed Feline HA St/Ox Hypoallergenic™ without any transition period. During this trial, the cat should be fed exclusively with Feline HA St/ Ox Hypoallergenic™ for 8 to 10 weeks and only have access to water to drink. Feline HA St/ Ox Hypoallergenic™ is also useful for cats with severe intestinal disease such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) as it is formulated with selected protein sources and is highly digestible. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or extending the period of use.
