At the bottom of the pore structure, where the oxygen content decreases, the biofilm also breaks down nitrate (denitrification).

In the biofilm of sera siporax Professional, in addition to nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, bacteria that break down organic matter also develop. This way, dead bacteria do not clog the pores, but are biologically decomposed. The biofilm grows and shrinks depending on the water pollution and adapts to the needs.
