The natural habitat of certain fish, such as discus fish, angelfish or neon fish, is characterised by very soft, slightly acidic and often dark water. These dark water conditions, as in the tropics, can be achieved without any problems and on a lasting basis with sera super peat. After being added to the filter, the functional natural black peat granules permanently reduce the carbonate hardness and stabilise the pH value to a slightly acidic level. In addition, it continuously releases valuable humic and fulvic acids.
